In recent years, in-home newborn sessions have become a popular options among new parents. Not having to leave your home for pictures may be an appealing option, but there are certainly numerous benefits to a studio session as well! Curious if a studio session may be a good fit for you? 1. You don’t need to clean your home
This may go without saying, but if your home is going to be front and center during a photography session… you will probably feel more inclined to ensure there aren’t rando socks hanging out on the floor (or maybe it’s just me?)… and I know it’s been a minute, but right after having my babies were the times when there was the most mess in my home. Not to mention, having a stranger in your home will probably add to your desire to impress – no matter how much you’re assured that your home doesn’t need to be spotless on our account. When you’re coming into the studio, there’s none of the added pressure to clean your home on top of just having had a baby… as it should be!
2. The light is consistent
Our studio is a natural light studio, chosen meticulously – specifically – for its clean light. In fact, we passed over other (larger) studio options in favor of where we are because the light is exactly what we need to create clean, timeless portraits… it’s that important. In contrast, it can be difficult to know if you have good light in your home. What may seem like great light to you, may be too dark, too bright, not diffused enough, the windows may not be facing the best direction, etc to a photographer’s eye. When you have your newborn session done in studio, you can be confident that you’re getting the highest quality images in the best light possible.
